RN to BSN Program
Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)
Coming Soon | 100% Online | Finish in as little as 12 months
The Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Alvin College is designed for RNs who are ready to complete their bachelor’s degree in a flexible online format. This is not a traditional four-year pre-licensure BSN program. Students must already hold an Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing to apply.
This program can be completed in as little as 12 months once nursing coursework begins and is delivered 100% online, allowing you to balance school with work and family. You will explore evidence-based practice, community and population health, quality improvement, informatics, healthcare policy and professional nursing leadership with assignments designed to connect to real healthcare settings.
Whether your goal is career advancement, preparing for leadership opportunities or building a stronger foundation for graduate study, the RN to BSN pathway can help you get there.

Career Opportunities
An RN to BSN degree can help you move beyond where you are today and into roles that increasingly prefer or require a bachelor’s credential. Graduates often pursue advancement into leadership pathways such as charge nurse roles and entry-level management tracks, as well as systems-focused opportunities in case management, care coordination, quality improvement, patient safety, utilization review and community or population health. Many nurses also use the BSN as preparation for graduate education and expanded professional options over time.
